The In-home Documentary Photoshoot

This has to be my new favorite style of photoshoot. I decided to play with the idea of a documentary-like feel.

I told mom, Katie, just to have a few ideas put together as to what they could do together as a family and be prepared for little to no prompting from me. They went from playing cards to nibbling on fruit, tuba playing, Lego building, drawing art, and yoga —all under an hour! I’ve never had so much fun just watching them interact and love on each other.

It wasn’t an easy task since most families are so used to photographers prompting them as to what to do, but this family crushed it. I just love the way these turned out in that you get so much more of a feel of their personalities and interests. I can’t wait to do more photoshoots like this!
